SETI public: SETI Net Dead in the Water - Need Help

    The azimuth rotor motor gear on the antenna is broken. Somehow one of the remote clients caused the antenna to move to the mechanical stop and then the software kept trying to move further. Result - broken gear. My fault not the remote user. The system should be able to protect itself against this happening.

    Please look at the picture on the link below and help me find a replacement.

    Until I can find a replacement the project is dead. I have looked on eBay and in all the local electronic surplus shops with no luck. I do have an eBay bid on one that 'looks' right and I'll buy it on the off chance that it will work but the odds are slim.

    Please tell me if you have seen anything like this in your travels.
