It's very interesting that Stuart (apparently) got permission to post
the original article. Ten years ago, when we started The SETI League
website, I asked Phil for permission to post it. He said he would
gladly grant his permission, but that the copyright belonged to Nature
and I would have to ask them. I did (repeatedly), and they refused.
