Ron, you should have put the Wı in the presidentıs name to distinguish
him from the *last* president who made exactly the same commitmentı... And
where are we, ten years after that?
I donıt mean to be cynical, but the only way I can see this happening is if
it all occurs within a single presidential term. Even if he commits the
funds to it now (and heıll go white when he sees the estimates and we all
know the real costs will be ten times higher), then the project will get
whittled away at every time thereıs a budget reappraisal, goals will get
redefined, and the whole thing will die a gradual, quiet death UNLESS it
is done with great despatch and absolute commitment, without time for
bureaucrats to wreck it. It has to happen the way Kennedy got America to the
Moon.
Donıt get me wrong, Iıd love to see it happen but I wouldnıt start
switching your vote just yet!
