    Not to cause *too much* confusion - I have experienced Long Delayed Echoes. When I was an active ham back in 1961 I had a two element quad and was running a KW. Working 15 Meters CW I detected my own signal coming back to me nearly two seconds after I had sent it. I was running full break in keying at the time. Two seconds is several times around the earth or several bounces off the e-layer. It only lasted for a few seconds but it was very strange indeed.
