Subject: [HASTRO-L] Jewish views of extraterrestrial life
A student in my graduate course on the history of astronomy wishes to
write her research paper on Jewish views on the question of
extraterrestrial intelligent life. I would appreciate receiving
information and/or references relevant to topic, especially in regard
to views put forth by pre-twentieth-century Jewish authors, so that I
may pass these on to her.
The only discussion in this area that I am acquainted with is
Lamm, Norman, "The Religious Implications of Extraterrestrial Life"
in Faith and Doubt: Studies in Traditional Jewish Thought (New York,
1971), 107-160.
