I assure you that transmitting Valentine's Day messages to ETI is
NOT on the agenda of The SETI League, Inc! Since PUBLIC is an *open* email
list, it enjoys (?) participation from a wide range of individuals, members
and non-members alike. The SETI League does not necessarily endorse the
opinions posted here, but feels it is in everyone's best interests to
provide a public forum, free from censorship. As individuals we are each
free to ignore posts which we find questionable or objectionable.
For a more focused communications medium, I recommend The SETI
League's various *closed* email lists (which are, I regret, available to
members only, but are less likely to see the sort of posts that you and I
    both find objectionable).
Thanks for your interest in SETI *science*.
             Yours for SETI success,
                     Paul
