Official Space Weather Advisory issued by NOAA Space Environment Center

SPACE WEATHER ADVISORY OUTLOOK #03- 52
    2003 December 30 at 9:21 a.m. MST (2003 December 30 1621 UTC)

    **** SPACE WEATHER OUTLOOK ****

    Summary For December 22-28
Space weather during the past week briefly reached moderate levels. A
Category R1 (minor) radio blackout occurred on 26 December due to an M1
class solar flare at 12:28 MST on December 26th (1928 UTC). No other
significant space weather occurred during the period. For a list of
adverse system effects related to space weather storms, please refer to
    the NOAA Space Weather Scales.

    Outlook For December 31-January 6
Space weather for the next week is expected to reach moderate levels.
There is a slight chance of a category R1 (minor) radio blackout early
in week. A small coronal hole early in the week and a larger coronal
hole later in the week may produce high speed solar winds and
subsequently category G1 (minor) - G2 (moderate) geomagnetic storms.
