    **** SPACE WEATHER OUTLOOK ****

    Summary For December 8-14
    Space weather during the past week reached moderate levels. A Category
    G1 (minor) geomagnetic storm was in progress for most of the week. On
    December 8th, 10th, and 11th the storm reached category G2 (moderate)
    levels. The source of this storm was a large coronal hole and its
    associated high speed solar wind. For a list of adverse system effects
    related to space weather storms, please refer to the NOAA Space Weather
    Scales.

    Outlook For December 17-23
    Space weather for the next week may reach minor levels. Category R1
    (minor) radio blackouts are possible during the week when active
    regions are expected to rotate onto the visible disk.
