**** SPACE WEATHER OUTLOOK ****
Summary For October 14-20
Space weather reached moderate levels. A category G2 (moderate)
geomagnetic storm was observed on October 14th. Category R1 (minor)
radio blackouts occurred on October 15th and on October 20th due to
energetic solar flares. For a list of adverse system effects related
to space weather storms, please refer to the NOAA Space Weather
Scales.
Outlook For October 23-29
Space weather is expected to reach minor levels. Category G1 (minor)
geomagnetic storms are possible late in the week due to a returning
coronal hole. Additional category R1 (minor) radio blackouts are
possible during the week from an active sunspot region know to NOAA
space weather forecasters as Active Region 162.
