To my understanding, Grove doesn't so much sell a "system" as allow you to
order all the pieces (receiver, LNA, feedhorn, cables, power supply) from
one source. The only instructions they include are our mini-Manual (also
available off the web -- from the main page, see under "hardware corner").
For more detail, see the SETI League Tech Manual, which is also available
on the website (and, in fact, linked from the mini-Manual). If you can
figure out from the Tech Manual how to put things together, then you can
manage with the Grove system.

The Seeker 2000 is not just a receiver, but also includes an LNA and
feedhorn. To that extent, it is stand-alone; an alternative to the Grove
equipment. Chief difference is that Grove allows you to select a general
purpose receiver, while the Seeker system uses a dedicated receiver,
optimized for radio astronomy and SETI *only*, and only tuning a narrow
range of frequencies centered on 1420 MHz.

Hope this clairifies things. Sorry I didn't respond to your earlier query,
Charles; I was in India when the email came in, and am still playing catch-up.
