What resolution did you run Windows in before? If it was higher than
800x600, then you didn't need to change it. Only if you used 640x480
was a change necessary. Sometimes windows doesn't scale the desktop
correctly when you do a resolution change without a restart, depending
on your video drivers. Likewise, you may have changed the resolution
without changing the desktop size, which some video drivers allow you to
do. The third possibility is that your monitor is not properly adjusted
for the resolution and refresh rate you've chosen, and the bottom of the
image may be down below the edge of the screen.
