This symposium -- held in the nation's capital city at the end of the
century --will present key figures of 20th century creativity and
achievement. The symposium is part of NASA's Fortieth Anniversary
celebration. It will offer a retrospective discussion of one of this
century's crowning
accomplishments -- the genesis of space exploration. And it will
consider the future of this
enterprise: At the end of this millennium, what legacy do we leave for
future
generations? The symposium will include panel discussions, smaller
session
meetings with some panelists, exhibits, and displays.
