I didn't say an *advantage*. I still consider OSETI a distant second in
effectiveness to MSETI (see my juried SPIE article reproduced at
<http://www.setileague.org/articles/oseti.htm>), but with advances in
electro-optics technology, the gap is narrowing. So we can't afford to
overlook OSETI completely.
This is, of course, my personal opinion, and does not necessarily reflect
the position of The SETI League or its sponsors.
