Yes -- and until we do happen upon them, it behooves us to use the best
tools at our disposal -- which *right now* are radio and lasers -- and to
go forward doing SETI.
And now, dear friends, if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to work on
the design of my latest *obsolete* microwave receiver. I just might
receive a smoke signal!
