Yes; true. In fact I'm giving a talk at Boxboro on Saturday. Wanna come:-)?
>a onetime Arecibo observer,
...'onetime'? Its true that I am not an active observer as I am designing
hardware--and I have a young kid. Taking off for a month at a time is not an
acceptable option for the moment.
I've spent about a year of time at Arecibo Paul; and published several NAIC
sponsored papers. Perhaps, since you feel this reference important to
mention, you should point out that I did my Ph.D. work under Drake at
Cornell..among other things--including several observing SETI's. My main
background is in VLBI and interferometry.
