I wanted to run something past you guys, and see what you think.
I've been planning for about a year and a half to set up a station
and participate in Argus. Now I'm getting much closer to doing this,
but one of the problems I face is that the place I live in has rules
against having large unsightly antennae (among other things) in the
yard. What I'd like to do is install the dish -inside- the attic.
What sort of effect do you think this might have on its reception?
I don't mind a little attenuation of the signal, but do you think
it would be severe enough to make the dish relatively useless?
As far as I know, except for some nails, there would be little or
no metal between the dish and the sky. What do you think?
