I am not certain of the policy on this list, but I know that, unless
you've got permission
from the author of an article, posting the -entire- article is usually a
breach of copyright.
Please don't take this as a flame - it's not intended to be. It's an
(although, as a volunteer programmer for SETI@Home, "old news" to me),
sure that no harm was either intended or done, but I feel it's worth
that information on the web is not necessarily "public domain", even
can read it for free.
(As for anyone who -hasn't- read about, heard about, or written code for
I for one believe it's well worth taking a look at. It's biggest problem
is that it's next to
unverifiable, as it'd be impossible to do real-time verification, so I'm
going to expect a
fair few WOW!'s to appear. On the other hand, it is a truly beautiful
approach to the
problem of how to get hold of enough computer power, and Serendipity is
way of getting the dish time.)
