That's my sentiment on this exactly. This area of QM is so new and
strange and not well understood that it would be presumptuous to say that
this or that is not useful. People 100 years ago said that there was
no practical use for the newly discovered electro-magnetic waves. You
caught the jist of what I was trying to say, exactly. I think there would
have been a more lively discussion on the list if it weren't for the hoax.
But Wayne Shanks is right: A traditional communcation channel is required
to perform teleporation. So we humans are still using primitve
technology. We still have a long way to go. :-)
I only wish I had more knowledge of advanced quantum mechanics.
