Official Space Weather Advisory issued by NOAA Space Environment Center

SPACE WEATHER ADVISORY OUTLOOK #04- 28
    2004 July 13 at 04:36 p.m. MDT (2004 July 13 2236 UTC)

    **** SPACE WEATHER OUTLOOK ****

    Summary For July 5-13
Space weather reached moderate levels this period. Minor (R1) and
moderate (R2) radio blackout were observed on 12 and 13 July associated
with solar flares that occurred from two different complex sunspot
    clusters.

    Outlook For July 14-20
Space weather for the next week is expected to reach moderate levels
with a chance for strong levels. Two complex sunspot clusters
currently are visible on the Sun and both have potential to produce R1
(minor) and R2 (moderate) radio blackouts. There is a chance also for
an isolated R3 (strong) blackout from these sunspot groups. Minor to
moderate geomagnetic storms and minor radiation storms are also possible.

Data used to provide space weather services are contributed by NOAA,
USAF, NASA, NSF, USGS, the International Space Environment Services
and other observatories, universities, and institutions. For more
information, including email services, see SEC's Space Weather
