CHATHAM - Emma Viola Boyer wasn't an astronaut, an engineer nor an acclaimed scientist. She never earned a college degree and her name isn't in history books nor among NASA's space lore.

But Boyer, a Chatham resident who recently died at the age of 88, has her name on the moon.
