    SMART-1 IS CHANGING THRUST STRATEGY TO AVOID LONG ECLIPSES
    In order to minimize the time spent in the Earth's shadow when the spacecraft is at apogee, SMART-1 is following a new strategy that also leads to an earlier escape from the radiation belts.
