-- Space Shuttle Processing Status 7 Nov 2002
http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewsr.html?pid=7004

"Preparations for the countdown of the 112th Shuttle mission and launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour from
Launch Pad 39A continue. The Flight Crew Equipment installation in the flight and mid-deck is currently in
work. Countdown will begin on Friday for an early morning launch on Monday. The weather forecast for launch
is generally good."

-- Black Hole at Milky Way's Center is on Starvation Diet
http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=9766

"The center of our Galaxy is a dynamic interplay of interdependent activity where stellar processes play a far
more active role than scientists originally believed. The big surprise is that these processes leave our Galaxy's
central black hole starving for "food," a new study suggests."

-- An Old Star Gives up the Ghost
http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=9764

"NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has recently obtained images of the planetary nebula NGC 6369. This
object is known to amateur astronomers as the "Little Ghost Nebula," because it appears as a small, ghostly
cloud surrounding the faint, dying central star. NGC 6369 lies in the direction of the constellation Ophiuchus, at
a distance estimated to be between about 2,000 and 5,000 light-years from Earth. "

-- European Space Agency appoints Ogilvy Brand Relations to help market European assets on International
Space Station
http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=9761

"The European Space Agency (ESA) has selected Ogilvy Brand Relations in Brussels, Belgium, to help it
develop a branding and communications strategy for the International Space Station (ISS). ESAs objective is to
raise commercial demand for use of the European assets on the International Space Station."

-- XMM-Newton gives new clues about exploding stars
http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=9759

"For the first time, XMM-Newton has been able to measure the influence of the gravitational field of a neutron
star on the light it emits. This measurement provides much better insight into these objects. "
